Social Activities: Ridgemoor is more than just a pool! It's a great way to get to know your neighbors and meet new friends.
Parties (Member Rates):
The pavilion may be reserved during normal operating hours,for parties at a cost of $50.00. Birthday parties at the pool have been quite a hit. The swim club is also available for private parties,after normal operating hours until 10pm, for $75 per hour.
Amenities: Lounge chairs, shade umbrellas, picnic tables and a gas grill are provided at no charge. These items are all available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Clubhouse: The clubhouse has dressing rooms, infant changing stations, restrooms and hot showers.
Playground: Swings, a slide, a wooden play structure, a tetherball and a four-square court are a few things that Ridgemoor has to keep the kids busy while out of the pool. There is also an open grassy area to throw a football, play a game of tag, or maybe set up a soccer game!
Shaded Areas: Ridgemoor has a large awning in front of the concession stand with picnic tables, as well as a covered pavilion with picnic tables.
Concession Stand: A variety of food items are available from the concession stand, including ice cream treats, pizza, corndogs, assorted candy and much more! The concession stand is open during all regular pool hours. "Ridgemoor Rations" ($5 coupons which are punched in .25 cent increments) are available at the concession stand.
Swim Lessons: Swim lessons are available to both members and non-members taught by qualified Ridgemoor instructors. Each session consists of ten, 1/2 hour long lessons. For details about swim lessons at Ridgemoor click here.
Swim Team: Ridgemoor has an excellent swim team for children ages 4-18. Both members and non-members are welcome to join. The swim team season runs for seven weeks, from mid-June through July. Adult Swim: To accommodate all of our members, there will be adult only swim times this summer.
Baby Pool: The baby pool is completely fenced in and is 1 - 1.5 feet deep. Chairs are available on the baby pool deck. The baby pool is for children under the age of seven. Children in the baby pool must be supervised by a parent or babysitter at all times. The baby pool is available for use during all regular business hours and during swim team practices in the morning.
Ridgemoor Swim Club is located on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Michigan in a beautiful neighborhood setting, south of Burton, east of Breton, right behind the Michigan Athletic Club. It has served the local community for over thirty-five years and has lots to offer to every member of the family... social activities, swim team, swim lessons and a relaxing atmoshere to kick back and enjoy those hot summer days.
