Swim Team: Ridgemoor has an excellent swim team for children ages 4-18. Both members and non-members are welcome to join. The swim team season runs for seven weeks, from mid-June through July. Swim Lessons: Swim lessons are available to both members and non-members taught by qualified Ridgemoor instructors. Each session is two weeks in length and consists of ten, 1/2 long hour long lessons. Afternoon & evening sessions are available. For details about swim lessons at Ridgemoor click here.
Amenities: Lounge chairs, shade umbrellas, picnic tables and a gas grill are provided at no charge. These items are all available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Clubhouse: The clubhouse has dressing rooms, infant changing stations, restrooms and hot showers.
Playground: Swings, a slide, a wooden play structure, a tetherball and a four-square court are a few things that Ridgemoor has to keep the kids busy while out of the pool. There is also an open grassy area to throw a football, play a game of tag, or maybe set up a ladder golf game!
Social Activities: Ridgemoor is more than just a pool! It's a great way to get to know your neighbors and meet new friends. Click on the Home page for specific themes, dates and times.
Adult Swim: To accommodate all of our members, there will be adult only swim times this summer. Daily, for brief periods, the pool will be cleared so that adults 18 and over can get in and cool off.
Baby Pool: The baby pool is completely fenced in and is 1 - 1.5 feet deep. Chairs are available on the baby pool deck. The baby pool is for children under the age of seven. Children in the baby pool must be supervised by a parent or babysitter at all times. The baby pool is available for use during all regular business hours and during swim team practices in the morning.
Shaded Areas: Ridgemoor has a large Pergola in front of the concession stand with picnic tables, as well as a covered pavilion with picnic tables.
Concession Stand: An expanded variety of food items will be available from the concession stand, including corndogs, chips & cheese and much more! The concession stand is open during all regular pool hours. "Ridgemoor Rations" ($5 coupons which are punched in .25 cent increments) are available at the concession stand.
Parties: The club is available for parties at a cost of $50.00 or the cost of guest passes for each of the guests (whichever is less), plus a security deposit of $20.00. The pavilion may be reserved for parties. Birthday parties at the pool have been quite a hit. For parties after pool hours, the host must also pay $10.00 per hour for a lifeguard. Ridgemoor Swim Club is located on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Michigan in a beautiful neighborhood setting, south of Burton, east of Breton, right behind the Michigan Athletic Club. It has served the local community for forty years and has lots to offer to every member of the family... social activities, swim team, swim lessons and a relaxing atmoshere to kick back and enjoy those hot summer days.
